The dolomite from Orgita is a natural stone that is easy to process and has a unique pattern. Although historically it was used in the exterior, it has recently also been used in interior decoration. Through centuries people have valued Orgita dolomite\u2019s properties as a stone used for finishing and its weather resistance<\/strong>. This massive \ufb01ne crystalline natural stone that is more than 400 million years old is known to have been used at least from the 14th\u00a0century.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Orgita dolomite is quarried near M\u00e4rjamaa, in the area around the former Orgita (Rosenthal) manor. The oldest preserved construction details made from Orgita stone are mainly from churches. Details made of Orgita natural stone have, for example, been used in Tallinn\u2019s Dome Church and Tallinn\u2019s St. Nicholas Church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Historically the dolomite quarried from Orgita has been used for carved stones and for exterior finishing. Nowadays the stone from Orgita is also used in interior decoration <\/strong>\u2013 including stairs, floor tiles, fireplaces, and other special details<\/u> used for interior design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Colour:<\/strong> from yellowish-beige to bluish-grey. Generally, the stones are not sorted by colour.<\/p>\n\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
